We help people who buy things that break keep every warranty, receipt and expiry date in one place — so when something fails, they claim it instead of paying for it twice.
Who builds this
wrnty is made by 12F ApS, a small software company registered in Denmark (CVR 45362957). The app and this site are run by Robert Jensen, who founded the company and edits everything published here.
We are not a law firm, a consumer advocacy group or an insurer. We build a tool that keeps track of warranties and receipts, and we write about the subject because the people using the app keep asking the same questions.
Why a warranty tracker exists at all
Warranties fail people for an unglamorous reason: by the time something breaks, the receipt is gone and nobody remembers when the thing was bought. The cover was real, the claim was valid, and it went unclaimed because the paperwork evaporated. wrnty exists to hold those two facts — what you bought and when — until the day they matter.
The app stores everything on your device and syncs only through your own iCloud. There is no account and nothing reaches us. That is a product decision, not a marketing line, and the privacy policy spells out exactly what it means.
How these posts are written
We would rather say this plainly than let you guess.
Topics come from what people actually ask — the questions that recur in consumer forums and in support mail — rather than from keyword lists. Each post is drafted by an automated writing process that follows a detailed editorial brief kept in the project's public repository, and is then reviewed and edited by Robert Jensen before it publishes. That is why every article credits 12F ApS as author and names a human editor: the organisation publishes it, and a person is answerable for it.
The brief that governs this is not secret. It sets the rules we hold ourselves to:
- Consumer law is not universal. Statutory rights differ by country, and posts say so instead of presenting one jurisdiction's rules as the world's.
- Cite the primary source. Claims about what the law or a manufacturer says link to the regulator, the statute or the manufacturer's own terms — listed at the foot of each post under "Where this comes from".
- No invented specifics. Warranty lengths are given as the ranges they really are, not as false precision.
- One honest mention of the app, at most two. A post earns its place by being useful whether or not you ever install anything.
If you find something on this site that is wrong, we would genuinely like to know. Tell us and we will correct it and update the post's revision date.
What we will not do
We do not publish testimonials we did not receive, ratings we did not earn, or case studies that did not happen. The homepage describes the kinds of people the app suits using clearly labelled personas — not quotes from customers who do not exist. When there are real reviews worth showing, we will show those instead.
